My neighbors were kind enough to let me paint their laundry. They've known me long enough to take my request in stride, Ha! 20 x 16 Oil

"Mallards on Pistol River"
Friday, May 13, 2022
Stepping out of my very restrictive box to do a still life. I find painting still lifes as exciting as watching paint dry, hence I never do them. These white tulips at my sisters house with the modern black glass wall oven behind and a light source in a room behind to the right as well as another to the left of the scene was to good to pass up. Start to finish 1 1/2 hours. I was channeling Matisse. Hope I didn't disappoint him. 12x9 oil

"A Prickly Situation"
A triptych based on a photo I took while visiting So. Cal. last month. The colors of the cactus and the blooms were so inspiring. Each panel is 24" x 8" Oil
